Our commitment

christophorswilson.com is committed to being accessible to all visitors, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.

Measures taken

• All images include descriptive alt text.
• Decorative SVGs are marked aria-hidden="true" so screen readers skip them.
• The audio player includes ARIA labels and a visible play/pause control.
• Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements throughout the site.
• The site is fully navigable by keyboard. Focus order follows reading order.
• Navigation landmarks (<header>, <main>, <footer>, <nav>) are used to aid screen reader navigation.
• The page language is declared (lang="en").
• No content flashes or auto-playing media. The audio sample requires an explicit user action to play.
• Font sizes are relative and the page reflows correctly at 200% zoom without loss of content or functionality.

Known limitations

The mobile navigation collapses at narrow viewports. Keyboard users on small screens can still access all links via the footer navigation. We intend to improve mobile keyboard navigation in a future update.
